THE MOSEL
A mystical land decorated with century old vines. ABOVE Alfer Hölle, is the home of Ulli Stein. Constructed as a hotel in the late 1800s, it is best known as Haus Waldfrieden. In the dining hall is a grand piano, overlooking the Mosel river. This is where the piano portions of Paris Mosel were composed and recorded, during the harvest of 2022.
ThIS half of the record is a musical portrait of Alfer Hölle, Striehween, Sankt Aldegund, Blutwurz, Palmberg, and Bullay.
Included in Paris Mosel is a transcription of the song “Mosel Weinlied”, composed in the mid 1800s. Mosel Weinlied is speculated to have been awarded a fuder’s worth of the finest Riesling in the 1846 Traben-Trabach Casino songwriting contest dedicated to Mosel wine.

SIDE A OF Paris Mosel was recorded electronically in Paris, utilizing samples. A musical interpretation of the city unfolds, inspired by the cuisine, croissants, and streets of the art Mecca.
Upon arriving to Paris via the TGV, OUR MUSICAL journey finds its way through Bastille, Les Enfants Du Marche, La Station, MontMarte. El Nopal, and Pigalle.
